FT Interactive Data has launched Securities Taxation Web, a new internet browser-based version of its existing Securities Taxation Service.
Securities Taxation Web aims to provide a range of useful reference tools for tax professionals for UK Capital Gains Tax and income tax returns, and for UK CGT calculation and tax planning. The new online service has been introduced as an additional offering to the current print and CD-ROM formats.
Securities Taxation Web consists of several modules including the UK & Irish Capital Gains Tax Services; UK & Irish Dividend and Interest Service; UK Exemptions from Capital Gains Tax; the Registrars Service, and the International Dividend & Interest Service.
“Securities Taxation Web is customisable, and is hosted and supported by FT Interactive Data,” says Anthony Neville, the divisional director. “This means that subscribers don’t need to purchase or set-up servers to run the proprietary software on site – nor do they need to devote resources to installation or loading monthly data updates.”
“Providing and maintaining an equities reference service across a number of offices is no small task,” says Nick Wells, an applications manager at BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, who recently tested the online service. “We were therefore enthusiastic early adopters of the new online Securities Taxation service. We have received positive feedback from our users of the service, notably on the breadth of information and the comprehensive search facilities. The seamless, maintenance-free updates needs no additional IT overhead.”
