Societe Generale Securities Services has published a white paper titled “A Closer Look at the Implications of AIFMD” that highlights debates and interpretations and explains SGSS’ viewpoint on the directive’s new provisions. The paper also includes a number of fact sheets covering the different aspects of the AIFMD.
“French regulators and especially the AMF have taken a pragmatic approach in implementing the Directive, in particular via the opening of an AIFM pre-approval desk. In addition, the French model, of which some of the provisions are already rather close to the AIFMD standards, gives a comparative advantage to French stakeholders with regards to participants of other countries on the European markets,” said Etienne Deniau, global head of Business Development, Asset Managers and Owners, SGSS.
The white paper can be found here.
