JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services is expanding its business development team in EMEA to increase coverage of non-bank financial institution asset owners, in addition to investment managers. To lead this further expansion, Richard Hale was appointed to the new position as head of business development for asset managers, insurance and related financial companies in Europe.
Hale joins from HSBC and will report to Francis Jackson, head of client management and business development for JPMorgan WSS. Hale’s team is expected to grow over the next year to include a total of six salespeople.
“The evolution of markets has given rise to new clients and market segments,” Jackson says. “As a result, JPMorgan has placed an additional focus on the emerging needs of sophisticated asset managers and asset owners, such as insurance companies. Richard’s expertise and experience in these areas make him ideal for this job.”
