Equinix, Inc., a leading provider of network-neutral data centers and internet exchange services, said that Fortis Clearing Chicago LLC, a unit of Fortis, the European insurance and banking conglomerate, has relocated the company’s data center operations to Equinix’s Chicago Internet Business Exchange center, located in Foster City, CA.
Fortis made the move in order to leverage the benefits of operating in close proximity to its strategic partners, Equinix said. The move will enable Fortis Clearing Chicago to directly interconnect with the aggregation of financial service and trading companies as well as all of the leading network service providers that are operating within the center.
