Fortis Bank appointed Dennis van den Bosch as head of currency management in its Amsterdam-based merchant banking division. The appointment will take effect on March 1.

“Dennis brings exceptional expertise and experience in currency management,” said Bob Arends, head of currency management. “His appointment to the team emphasizes Fortis Merchant Banking’s long term commitment to blend investment management experience in currencies and academic research.”

Dennis van den Bosch worked with pension manager, Mn Services since 1996, where he was the head of treasury. In that role, he was responsible for running the in-house currency absolute return mandate and the currency hedging program. He was also responsible for capital markets deal execution, including equity and fixed income derivatives.
