Former chief of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Robert Pickel has been appointed to a new advisory board for post-trade tech firm Droit Financial Technologies.

Joining Pickel on the board are Mark Beeston, CEO and founder of Illuminate Financial Management, and Seth Cohen, former UBS Group managing board member.

With the new board, it hopes to guide the firm to deliver pre-and post-trade solutions as the derivatives industry continues to adapt their front and back office functions during this time of global regulatory change.

“Pre and post-trade compliance were a central focus in my roles at ISDA. I am excited to build on this experience in a practical product arena with the industry-leading team at Droit,” says Pickel.

“Innovative technology solutions… are becoming increasingly important as firms seek to implement critical infrastructure to address the wave of global regulatory and market structure change.”

Pickel left the derivatives trade association in April after serving 17 years in various roles. He was replaced by Scott O’Malia, former commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
