Newbridge Securities Corporation, a full service securities broker-dealer and investment bank, has entered into an agreement with Gregory A. Deaver for Deaver to become the Chief Compliance Officer of the Firm.
Most recently, Deaver was a Senior Principal Consultant for the broker-dealer compliance division of a nationally-recognized consulting firm. Before that, Deaver served as a supervisor of examiners in the Boca Raton, Florida office of FINRA, and also served as a sales practice examiner for the New York Stock Exchange.
Deaver also has substantial industry experience in compliance, trading and retail sales. In addition to the various securities licenses that Deaver has held and will hold as Chief Compliance Officer, he also is a “Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist”.
Deaver joined Newbridge last month in a non-supervisory capacity, and is working with current compliance staff to ensure an orderly transition. That transition period is expected to last for 2 to 4 more weeks, at which point Deaver will step into the position of Chief Compliance Officer of the Firm.
“Newbridge is pleased to welcome Greg Deaver to our Firm,” says Guy S. Amico, president of Newbridge. “From the outset, it has been our goal to build a strong and successful financial services company, offering quality, non-proprietary products and services.”
“It is affirming to our mission to have attracted a person of Greg’s integrity, experience and reputation to join us in the important position of Chief Compliance Officer. We firmly believe that Greg will provide smart, solid leadership as we continue in our mission.”
“I am very excited about the opportunity to take the compliance helm at a growing firm like Newbridge.” says Deaver. “As a former regulator, I did my ‘due diligence’ in connection with this opportunity. I am convinced that Newbridge and its management team are committed to a strong culture of compliance, and management has given me a broad mandate to continue and enhance its efforts to foster that culture.”
