Hedge Nordic reports: Hedge funds and private equity funds are non-transparent, anti-social and profit-oriented and only excel at being greedy — that is the conclusion of a new EU Parliament report initiated by the former Danish Prime Minister Paul Nyrup Rasmussen, who is heading the group of the European Social Democrats in the Parliament.
The report reviews 21 specific deals, where European companies have been bought by private equity funds, including the purchase of Danish telecom giant TDC by the fund ISS.
