An industry veteran who has worked with the likes of BNY Mellon, SS&C and Northern Trust over a 25-year career has joined Maple Group as director of business development for its fund services business in Europe.

Edwin Parker joins the fund administrator from BNY Mellon where, according to his LinkedIn profile, he was a managing director of sales for private markets.

Prior to his two years at BNY Mellon, Parker also worked at Northern Trust in its global fund services sales team focusing on alternative investments.

He also held similar roles at MUFG, SS&C and RBS Trust Bank.

Parker will be based in London and work closely with Christina McCarthy, regional head of fund services, Europe, to drive the growth of the fund services business across greater Europe, as well as working closely with colleagues across the Maples Group globally.

Maples Group’s fund services business counts for more than $98 billion in assets under administration.

The administrator won an award at Global Custodian’s industry leaders event in November 2018 for client service in private equity fund administration, after being nominated for three honours during the evening.

“An ever evolving regulatory and investor landscape is putting more pressure than ever before on fund managers to optimise their operational processes and we remain committed to evolving our service offering to address their needs,” said McCarthy.

“We continue to see significant demand for our fund services offering in Europe and are confident that our broad capabilities which include the design and delivery of innovative solutions, coupled with Edwin’s experience and expertise will be highly advantageous to our ongoing efforts.”
