Barclays Capital announced today that Deron J. Goodwin had joined as Director in Foreign Exchange Corporate Sales. Based in New York, Goodwin will report to Eric Price, Managing Director and Head of Foreign Exchange Distribution.
“Deron brings to the firm invaluable buy side experience and extensive knowledge of the US Corporate Client base,” says Price. “His appointment strengthens our FX platform and solidifies the commitment to strengthening our FX business globally.”
Goodwin joins the firm from Lehman Brothers where he was Vice President in Foreign Exchange Corporate Sales and Structuring, responsible for client coverage of Industrial and Consumer Groups. Prior to that he was a Manager of Global FX and Commodity Risk Management and International Treasury Operations with Eastman Kodak where he developed and managed global currency and commodity hedge programs, and held various positions in foreign exchange at Bush Boake Allen, Inc., Royal Bank of Scotland and First National Bank of Chicago. He received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan and his BA from University of Pennsylvania. Barclays Capital continues to develop its foreign exchange business both in the Americas and globally. Most recently the firm hired Steven Englander as Chief Foreign Exchange Strategist based in New York. Other new hires include John Caccavale, Managing Director and Head of Foreign Exchange Trading in North America; Eric Price, Managing Director and Head of Foreign Exchange Distribution, Americas; Lutfey Siddiqi, Global Head of Foreign Exchange Structuring; Kirby Hoeft, Director in Foreign Exchange Distribution, Americas; and Roddy Boulton, a senior member of the firm’s global FX sales team.
