According to data published by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo, non-residents were net buyers of Japanese stocks in June, making it the thirteenth month in a row that they have been net buyers.
In June 2005, foreign investors bought Japanese stocks of worth a net Yen 263.5 billion. Net buying increased by Yen 56.7 billion from Yen 206.8 billion in May 2005.
The data shows that while non-residents were net sellers during the first ten days (by Yen 210.1 billion) they were net buyers (by Yen 325. 4 billion) during the next ten days of the month and by Yen 148.1 billion in the remainder of the month.
In June 2005, foreign investors also bought Japanese bonds worth Yen 495.2 billion on a net basis.
