The Mexican Exchange (Bolsa Mexicana BMV) has announced the first placement and public offering in a Fibra, internationally known as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Fideicomiso Fibra Uno Administracin, S.A. de C.V. was listed on BMV on March 18, 2011.
Fibra Uno Administracin was created to acquire, develop and manage a broad range of real estate properties, including industrial, commercial, tourism, offices and combined use properties.
The company made a national public offering for 143,229,743 Real Estate Stock Certificates (RESCs); taking into consideration the option for overallotment and private international certificates for 42,155,800 RESCs, the global amount of the offering was $3,615,018,088.50 (US$ 302,149,178.30) (including overallotment).
The structuring agent of this issue was Protego Asesores, S. de R.L., and the placing brokers in Mexico were Casa de Bolsa Santander, S.A. de C.V., Grupo Financiero Santander, Protego Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., and Actinver Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., Grupo Financiero Actinver.
