FinArch, the international provider of Finance Resource Planning (FRP) for the finance industry, says that in response to strong market demand for its expertise in Finance Resource Planning (FRP), it has established the FinArch Competence Center to serve banks and financial institutions that engage in projects to comply with internal and external regulations. The first Competence Center is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and serves Southeast Asia. It is envisaged that in the near future more Competence Centres will be established in different locations throughout the world.

Along with its local partner in Indonesia, Anabatic Technologies, the Competence Center will create and share knowhow and information, and will offer advisory services and consulting. In addition, it will support implementations from A to Z, and deliver training and workshops. A team of dedicated consultants is at the disposal of FinArch’s clients and prospective clients to help them build their project from the initial need through to final implementation.

The official launch ceremony was held at Jakarta on December 10 2009. This event was also held to celebrate the one year success of FinArchs IFRS Academy. FinArch and Anabatic Technologies jointly kicked-off the FinArch IFRS Academy in March 2009 in Jakarta. Since then the Academy has successfully opened in many countries around the world.

Highlights of the launching ceremony included speeches by Dirk De Beule, Chief Executive Officer at FinArch, and by Benny Verhelst, a highly acclaimed IFRS expert at FinArch, who discussed the recent changes to IAS/IFRS, and its impact for Indonesian banks. Another highlight of the ceremony was the customer testimonial by Frederick Siew, Senior Vice President at Bank Simpanan Nasional Malaysia (BSN). Siew discussed the swift implementation of FinArchs Financial Studio IFRS solution at BSN.

Furthermore, FinArchs existing Indonesian customers shared with peers their experience in ongoing implementations of Financial Studio to meet the PSAK 50/55 requirements. The reception and dinner were cordially offered by the Royal Embassy of Belgium and Flanders Investment and Trade.

By establishing the Competence Center, FinArch is building on extensive experience in delivering finance and risk solutions to the banking industry worldwide for more than ten years. Recently, its flagship Financial Studio has been acknowledged as the winner of the category ‘Finance and Risk Integration’ by Chartis Research.
