Financial Tradeware, a provider of software applications to fund managers and IFAs, says it has joined Microsoft’s ISV Partner Program and has embarked on a joint collaboration with Microsoft to migrate the company’s products to .NET.

“We decided to provide our products on Microsoft platforms in order to offer our clients a low cost solution, with ease of installation and no supplementary need of customisation,” says Alberto Fontana, UK MD for Financial Tradeware. “We are migrating to .NET because we find it is secure, stable, reliable, flexible, scaleable and built upon an open standard. Our next aim is to complete the migration as soon as is technically possible and to become a .NET Microsoft Certified Partner.”

The Microsoft Empower Program is designed to assist Independent Software Vendors in the development of a commercially viable software product based on Microsoft technologies. As part of this program the two companies have begun a project that will migrate Financial Tradeware’s UltraSuite(tm) solution to the latest .NET technology.

The UltraSuite product is a suite of applications designed to enable the complete automation of trading and accounting processes for Investment Managers and IFAs. Therefore the .NET platform provides the ideal conditions for the development, implementation and execution of XML and Web Services and other applications, which will assure an easy and transparent interaction with existing Windows applications.
