CIBC Mellon has appointed Robert Ferguson to the newly-created role of senior vice president, capital markets, business development and relationship management.

Ferguson, currently co-head of global securities lending at CIBC Mellon will take on overall responsibility for building and strengthening the Canadian bank’s relationships with clients across the asset-servicing spectrum.

Ferguson joined CIBC Mellon at the company’s inception in 1996. In addition to his latest role, Ferguson’s prior roles at CIBC Mellon include vice president, Product and Client service, co-head of Global Securities Lending, and most recently Senior Vice President, Capital Markets and Product Delivery.
