The Federal Reserve Bank of New Yorks board of directors has approved the promotion of new senior vice president.
Margaret M. McConnell has been promoted to senior vice president in the Chief of Staffs Office, Executive Office. She had been a vice president and deputy chief of staff for policy since January 2008, an assistant vice president in the same area since July 2007 and an assistant vice president in the macroeconomics and monetary studies function, Research and Statistics Group since March 2006.
McConnell joined the Bank in September 1996 as an economist in the domestic research function and was named an officer of the Bank in January 2006, assigned to the macroeconomics and monetary studies function, Research and Statistics Group. McConnell holds a bachelors degree and masters degree in economics from the University of Delaware and a doctorate in economics from Ohio State University.
