Eze Castle Research, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eze Castle Integration, Inc., announced the appointment of Michael Dunn to its senior management team.

Dunn is a 20-year veteran of the financial services marketplace, including numerous senior management roles at investment management firms, alternative investment firms and consulting firms.

Eze Castle Research, launched in December 2004, is an independent research firm founded to provide objective research to hedge fund managers, venture capitalists, private equity firms and telecommunications vendors. The firm publishes an average of 15 in-depth research reports in five publications each month. Research topics cover a range of subjects including network equipment, consumer electronics, semiconductor and component, servers, technical services, integration and outsourcing, Internet and retail Internet and portal technology. Eze Castle Research gathers its marketplace intelligence by leveraging its field team of more than 70 technology media and telecommunications specialists who purchase, administer and service these technologies first-hand for financial services firms around the United States.

“Eze Castle Research brings a new and innovative approach to the research marketplace — truly independent research that relies upon its own staff of engineers for its market intelligence. It is a very unique value proposition,” said Michael Dunn, director of sales, Eze Castle Research. “I’m thrilled to join the firm and look forward to building the Eze Castle Research FOCUS TMT brand.”

Prior to joining Eze Castle Research, Dunn was managing partner of Waypoint Capital, a boutique investment consultancy that specialized in raising capital and providing marketing consulting to alternative investment firms. Previous to this, he co-founded Elijah Asset Management which raised more than $1 billion in hedge fund, mutual fund and separate account assets in just 18 months. In addition, he was vice president of investment management sales at Robertson Stephens & Co., and a regional marketing representative for Charles Schwab & Co. He began his investment career with Fidelity Investments in Boston.

“Bringing the incredible value offered by Eze Castle Research to the marketplace is one of our top priorities and I can’t imagine someone better qualified than Michael,” said John Cahaly, CEO of parent company Eze Castle Integration. “His depth of knowledge and experience at some of the world’s top firms will be invaluable to ensuring that firms across the alternative investments, private equity and telephony sectors will be able to use Eze Castle Research to grow their firms and significantly increase their profits.”
