Ex-Schroders COO to moderate GC tech panel on 16 March

Global Custodian will gather industry experts together in London to discuss the latest technology trends.

Markus Ruetimann, the former COO of Schroders, will moderate Global Custodian’s Real Tech Talk panel on 16 March in London, alongside four industry experts.

Ruetimann is now non-Executive director and advisor to a number of technology start-ups as well as a boutique asset manager and prime broker.

He will be joined on the panel by Nicholas Bone, founder and CEO of EquiChain and Stephen Bayly, chief information officer, Securities Services at HSBC.

Matthew Pountain, head of product management, securities processing solutions international at Broadridge Financial Solutions and Virginie O’Shea, research director at Aite Group, will also feature on the all-star panel discussion.

The experts will look to go beyond the hype of technology advancements and dig into the realities of their potential and the way they can reform the securities services industry.

The panel will look at which technologies will and won’t live up to expectations? Experts give us their opinions. 

Real Tech Talk will be the second panel during the latest #GCsessions event on 16 March which will begin at 15.30 at Simpson’s in the Strand.

The first will cover the shifting of Europe’s custody landscape.
