Beginning 1 July, participants will be able to change settlement currency from LTL to euros on consent of both parties to a transaction on the Vilnius Sock Exhange. This possibility is particularly relevant in cases where the clients are foreign clients, as they would not be obliged to bear euro/LTS conversion costs, according to the Central Securities Depository of Lithuania and the Vilnius Sock Exchange.
The new wording of the Rules on Settlement of Transactions Concluded on the Vilnius Stock Exchange were approved by the CSDL and VSE in May and come into force on 1 July. The new wording aims to harmonize the rules with other legal acts. No fundamental provision of the rules related to the rights and obligations of the participants has been changed.
