Euronext has appointed Jos Dijsselhof as chief operating officer with effect from 1st July 2014, pending regulatory approvals.
In this role, Dijsselhof will be a member of the managing board of Euronext and will report to Dominique Cerutti, group CEO. He will be based in Amsterdam.
Dijsselhof has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently serving as general manager Group Hubs at Australia and New Zealand Bank (ANZ) based in Singapore, where he created and expanded ANZ’s integrated network of offshore services for banking operations, shared services, technology and corporate functions. Prior to ANZ, he served as head of group operations, Asia Pacific, for Royal Bank of Scotland. He also served as global head of financial markets at ABN Amro Bank in Amsterdam and later as the bank’s regional head of operations, Asia Pacific, in Hong Kong.
“Jos’s appointment completes the new Managing Board of Euronext and we are delighted that he is joining our team at this important time in the company’s development. His impressive track record in operations and technology gives Jos the experience to drive change in our operations and deliver renewed efficiencies,” says Cerutti.
In addition to the appointment, Euronext’s London-based entity, Euronext UK Markets Limited, has been declared a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) by the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which can help Euronext London attract more issuers.
