Euroclear hires senior Soc Gen tech head as new CIO

Yves Dupuy joins the Brussels-based CSD after serving over 12 years at the French bank.

Euroclear has hired one of Societe Generale’s most senior technologists as its new chief information officer (CIO).

Yves Dupuy joins the Brussels-based central securities depository (CSD) after serving over 12 years at the French bank.

During his time at Societe Generale, Dupuy served in a number of senior tech roles including CIO for EMEA where he was responsible for all IT applications across its investment banking business lines.

Most recently Dupay was CIO for global banking and investor services for EMEA.

“My mission is to deliver a clear strategic direction and provide strong leadership for Euroclear’s technology organisation. I look forward to working with teams across the group, technology vendors and clients to improve technology practices and achieve greater efficiencies,” said Dupuy on his appointment.

He will report to Lieve Mostrey, CEO of Euroclear Group, and will join its executive committee.

“His [Dupuy] skill and wealth of senior management experience will further strengthen our leadership team. The role of CIO is pivotal to our company as we continue to deliver innovative products, solutions and services for clients,” added Mostrey.
