EuroBancshares, Inc. says that starting Aug. 31, Luis J. Berrios Lopez will take over its executive vice president and chief lending officer of Eurobank.
Lopez will step into the position following the retirement of James Thomson served as Eurobank’s CLO since 1999.
Lopez’s appointment marks his return to Eurobank after leaving for eight years to serve as president and chief lending officer of Banco Financiero de Puerto Rico.
In 2000, Lopez founded Commercial Credit Solutions, which offers services including training loan officers in credit underwriting and portfolio management, and served as president of the company until agreeing to rejoin Eurobank.
