The Board of Managed Funds Association (MFA) today announced that it has unanimously elected Eric Vincent, president of Ospraie Management, LLC, as its new Chairman.
In addition, MFA’s membership elected the following six new directors for a two-year term: Trey Beck, managing director, D.E. Shaw & Co., L.P.; Arthur F. Bell, managing member, Arthur F. Bell, Certified Public Accountants; Michel Brogard, managing partner, Amber Capital Investment Management; Norman Champ, III, general counsel, Chilton Investment Company, LLC; Peter Nussbaum, general counsel, S.A.C. Capital Advisors, LLC; and Jim O’Brien, COO, Cantillon Capital Management.

The Board is dedicated to continuing its mission of advancing the growth of the industry while creating an environment of sound practices that will foster protection for the global markets and for investors,” says Vincent.
In addition to Vincent, incumbent directors Sean Simon, co-president,Ivy Asset Management Corp. and Sarah Street, EVP and CIO, XL Capital Investment Partners, were re-elected for a second two-year term.
MFA’s 17 elected directors also include: Jolyne Caruso, founder and CEO,Alberleen Capital Management; Robert J. Caruso, managing partner and COO, Highbridge Capital Management, LLC; Philip N. Duff,chairman and chief executive officer, Duff Capital Advisors; Patrick T.Egan, executive director, Morgan Stanley Managed Futures; George Hall,founder and chief executive officer, Clinton Group; Kevin F. Shannon, executive vice president, Moore Capital Management, LLC; John R. Torell,IV, chief financial officer, Tudor Investment Corporation; and Tracy Wills-Zapata, managing director, Campbell & Company, Inc.
