The co-director of Deutsche Bank’s global credit trading, Boaz Weinstein, will step down from the firm and set up his own hedge fund, according to a story in Bloomberg.

The 11-year veteran of the German bank plans to take 15 colleagues to the new venture, following his group’s record losses in 2008. A spokesman for the Frankfurt-based company said DB will continue to work with Weinstein in his new role.
