EasyScreen has selected FIX Antenna the multi platform Financial Information eXchange (“FIX”) Engine from B2BITS for incorporation into EasyRouter, EasyScreen’s core Solutions middleware. The integration of FIX Antenna and EasyRouter will enable any FIX enabled client, Buy or Sell side, to connect via a single FIX Session to the multiple equity, fixed income and derivatives exchanges supported by EasyRouter.

Once B2BITS FIX Antenna is installed in the EasyScreen Data Centre, clients will be able to connect to multiple brokers and exchanges irrespective of whether the target is FIX enabled. B2BITS says this will lead to lowered costs and increased efficiencies for both the Buy and Sell side. “This enhances the commercial proposition of the EasyScreen Data Centre and the prospect of further client acquisition in the near term,” says the company. EasyScreen selected B2BITS software on the basis of performance and functionality. The B2BITS FIX engine received the highest user satisfaction rating in the most recent European FIX User Survey.

EasyScreen is a supplier of software enabling buy side firms to connect to electronic exchanges, and is a preferred supplier of connectivity to LIFFE, EUREX, Euronext Paris (Matif), Chicago Board of Trade (a/c/e), Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Singapore Exchange, the Sydney Futures Exchange, the NQLX and vendor connected equity markets around the world.

B2BITS FIX Antenna is a FIX engine, capable of 14,000 messages per second and up to 200 sessions on single processor hardware. B2BITS also supplies a Java FIX Engine which includes message transformation capabilities, automated client testing services for sell side institutions and exchanges (FACTS), regression testing for institutions’ own FIX implementations (DART) and a virtual exchange training and testing tool (AVE).

B2BITS is partnered with Sun Microsystems for the launch of an integrated FIX messaging appliance (FIXRAQ) which will be extended to cover both SWIFT and OASYS message formats.
