Dutch investment consultancy firm, Fortunis has recently signed up to use Russell/Mellon CAPS’ AMI database. Fortunis, run by Philip Menco, was set up three and a half years ago to focus mainly on large and medium sized pension fund asset restructurings. Its work encompasses the entire process, from investment policy formulation to implementation.

Russel/Mellon says Fortunis has a reputation for high quality research and successful manager selection. The firm will use AMI to supplement its existing research in data collation for long list formulation. “AMI will enable us to obtain accurate and relevant data on a variety of mandates – both balanced and specialist – from a wider range of managers,” says Menco. “So far, I have found it extremely easy to use, which is an added bonus.”

Mick Brant, Russell/Mellon CAPS Chief Executive Officer added: “Fortunes is our second new AMI client from the Netherlands in a matter of months. This shows that our efforts in mainland Europe are beginning to pay off, as people are realising how valuable AMI can be to their business.”
