A former critic of Alan Greenspan and longtime colleague of newly-appointed Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will become the new president of the Federal Reserve Bank, according to the Financial Times.

William Dudley, presently serving as the head of markets at the Fed, was the chief domestic economist at Goldman Sachs before joining Geithner.

The FT has quoted Dudley speaking at a monetary conference in 2006 criticized Greenspan for ignoring asset price bubbles.
