The Bank Depository User Group (BDUG) has appointed Ann Hassenplug, Vice President, LaSalle Bank N.A. and R. Scott Nielsen, Treasurer, Deseret Trust Company to serve four year terms on the organization’s Steering Committee. The term expirations of Robert Becker, Senior Vice President, National City Bank, & outgoing BDUG Steering Committee Chairman and Bridget Melberg, Trust Officer, Wells Fargo Bank & outgoing BDUG Steering Committee Treasurer created the committee vacancies.

The nine member Steering Committee is comprised of bank executives that set the organization’s direction and arrange the group’s annual national meeting agenda. “The addition of Ann and Scott to the Steering Committee will greatly assist BDUG as we continue our work as a valuable forum on industry challenges,” says Scott Joers, Senior Vice President, U.S. Bank & incoming BDUG Steering Committee Chairman. “The four years of service in multiple Committee roles of our outgoing members, most recently Bob’s leadership as Chairman and Bridget’s contribution as Treasurer, have set the course for our organization’s future success in the changing financial services landscape.”

The Bank Depository User Group (BDUG), organized in 1982 by representatives from several regional bank participants of Depository Trust Company (DTC), aims to increase the information flow between DTCC and its participant banks, provide DTC’s management with input related to their procedures, policies, and operations, and “promote a spirit of cooperation and goodwill among BDUG members and DTCC.”
