Mellon has hired Drew Pace as Executive Vice President and Director, Global Institutional Sales and Marketing. Pace will report to Martin G. McGuinn, Mellon chairman and chief executive officer, and will join the Senior Management Committee. He will be based in Boston.

Pace comes to Mellon from State Street Corporation, where he was most recently Senior Vice President, Director Sales & Marketing, Investor Services Group. Pace joined State Street in 1990 from IBM Corporation. He graduated from Yale University and received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

“We have taken a number of aggressive steps toward building a new sales culture, which can help us significantly increase revenues,” says McGuinn. “Bringing Drew Pace to Mellon, along with other actions we have been taking to strengthen our sales processes and organization, should yield measurable results in the short term and lay the groundwork for our long-term success.”
