Deutsche Brse IT has been voted as the “Best Corporate IP Network” in Germany for the new design of its network. The award was given from the German subsidiary of Cisco International. The Cisco Networkers Innovation Awards are a major initiative honoring outstanding achievement and network designs, rewarding organisations that embrace new and advanced technology.
As part of an initiative to update and upgrade its technical infrastructure Deutsche Brse IT re-designed its backend network by the end of 2006 introducing MPLS (multi-protocol-label-switching) technology. MPLS offers multi-client network services. The implementation of this innovative design will deliver the next generation of extensible and high-availability network to Deutsche Brse Group’s customers and partners.
“Deutsche Boerse is a prime example for innovation and advancement in Germany,” says Michael Ganser, the Vice President and Managing Director Cisco Germany. “The award reflects the importance of the network as the platform for the success as well as the product and service quality of companies.”
“We are very pleased to have been awarded and consider this as recognition for our ongoing development of technology to meet our customers’ needs,” adds Matthias Kluber, the Head of Network and Infrastructure Operations at Deutsche Brse IT.
