Deutsche Borse has sent a new merger proposal to rival European exchange group Euronext, in an attempt to get negotiations started, according to a story in yesterday’s Financial Times. The report says that the German group has tried to allay fears in Paris that it would swallow its smaller rival by promising Euronext would appoint half the board members of the new company.
