Deutsche Borse launched a new strategy index, DAXplus Export Strategy, which lists the ten strongest exporters on the DAX and MDAX, measured by the share of revenues generated outside of Germany.

DAXplus Export Strategy is the third index in Deutsche Borse’s strategy index family, following DivDAX and DAXplus Seasonal Strategy.

“The high liquidity of the stocks included in the index makes it an attractive underlying for derivative products such as certificates and warrants,” stated a release from the company. Deutsche also reports that Bankgesellschaft Berlin will launch an endless index certificate and Goldman Sachs will launch a bonus certificate on DAXplus Export Strategy. “The index also serves as a benchmark for active portfolio managers who focus on investing in strong exporters,” the release continued.

The index comprises the DAX companies Altana, Bayer, DaimlerChrysler, Fresenius Medical Care and TUI, together with Celesio, EADS, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Merck and SGL Carbon, listed on the MDAX. Every stock in the index is weighted at 10%, independent of its free float
