Deutsche Bank has announced that Michael Aschauer, David Penstone and Peter Peschek are to join its Domestic Custody Services business.
Michael Aschauer will join as Managing Director for the custody business in Eastern Europe, working alongside Andrew Carter. David Penstone will be responsible for custody sales and client relations in Eastern Europe while Peter Peschek will join the custody product management team.
We are very enthusiastic to begin a new phase in our careers with Deutsche Bank and to join its Domestic Custody franchise which continues to prove its commitment to this business segment. We look forward to build upon the strong global presence and grow that franchise with a strong focus on both Austria and Eastern Europe” said Penstone.
All three hires previously worked for UniCredit, and will continue to be based in Vienna. The departures from the custody team at UniCredit were announced early in March. Sven Trahan, Head of Group Sales & Relationship Management at UniCredit said at the time: “The departures have left some openings. My colleagues’ decisions to leave were based on personal reasons and that each had expressed that they had to regrettably make a tough choice. It is an unfortunate situation but we are dealing with it by appointing new management that creates new opportunities and ensures continued success.”
At UniCredit, Gnter Schnaitt has been appointed Head of Custody Austria, and Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy as Global Head of Custody.
