Deutsche Bank appoints Giuseppe Baldelli as a Managing Director and Head of Italian Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) within the firm’s Global Banking division. Baldelli joins Deutsche Bank from Credit Suisse. He will be based in London and report to Henrik Aslaksen and Brett Olsher, Global Co-Heads of M&A.
Baldelli spent 13 years with Credit Suisse, where he was most recently a Managing Director within the firm’s M&A group focused on Italian clients and transactions. He has worked on a number of high profile transactions for clients including Telecom Italia, Weather/Wind, SEAT, De Agostini and Lottomatica.
“We are delighted to have a banker of Giuseppe’s calibre to lead our M&A franchise in Italy,” says Aslaksen and Olsher. “He is a trusted advisor to CEOs and CFOs, particularly in the media and telecoms sector. His appointment demonstrates the strength of our existing franchise and reflects our commitment to investment banking in Italy.”
Additionally, the bank has appointed Gianluca Ricci as a Director in Italian M&A. Ricci also joins from Credit Suisse where he has worked in M&A for ten years.
Both Baldelli and Ricci will work closely with Leopoldo Attolico, Head of Global Banking Italy.
