Deutsche Bank has expanded its prime brokerage team with the addition of four new hires.

Deutsche Bank has hired Kevin Harrison as head of financing; Jonathan Rose as head of West Coast sales; Maarten Nederlof for the hedge fund capital group; and Sean Capstick as head of Global Prime Finance sales for Europe and head of the hedge fund capital group for Europe.

Harrison will be based in New York and joins DB from Bear Stearns, where he was senior managing director in equity financing within its prime brokerage group.

“It is evident that the tremendous strides we are making with our award-winning Global Prime Finance business have attracted many prime brokerage industry leaders to our team,” said Barry Bausano, co-head of Global Prime Finance.

Rose will be based in San Francisco and joins DB after working at Morgan Stanley for seven years, most recently as executive director in prime brokerage sales.

“The West Coast is an important region, and we are confident that Jon’s deep experience and market knowledge will be a great addition to our existing sales team in North America,” said Scott Carter, managing director and head of global prime finance sales for North America.

Nederlof will be based in New York and re-joins DB from K2 Advisors, a hedge fund of funds manager. While there he was managing director and portfolio manager.

“Maarten’s significant institutional investor experience brings a unique expertise to our global hedge fund client base, and I am delighted to welcome him to our team,” said John Dyment, managing director and global head of hedge fund capital group.

Capstick will be based in London and joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for prime brokerage sales in the UK.

“Sean has had more than 15 years experience in the industry and we believe his appointment is key to building our Global Prime Finance platform,” said Jason Good, DB’s head of equity sales for Europe.
