Deutsche Bank has appointed Hubert Vannier as head of Global Banking, France, a role in which he will oversee the growing Global Banking operation in Paris.

Vannier is currently head of M&A in France and has been with Deutsche Bank for 17 years. He will replace Philippe Guez who is leaving to set up his own investment fund. Guez joined Deutsche Bank in 1995 and held a number of roles at Deutsche Bank before becoming head of Global Banking in France in 2004.

“Hubert has been a key part of the Global Banking team in France and has helped develop our relationships with key French clients. His wealth of experience will be a huge asset as we continue to build our business in France and deliver outstanding service to our clients,” says David Fass, head of Global Banking Europe.

Vannier will be based in Paris and will report to David Fass, head of Global Banking Europe and Jacques Henri-David, country head of Deutsche Bank in France.
