Deutsche Bank Appoints Head of GTB Vietnam and Global Head of Rates Sales

Deutsche Bank has appointed Jens Ruebbert as chief country officer (CCO) and head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) in Vietnam, effective immediately.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Jens Ruebbert as chief country officer (CCO) and head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) in Vietnam, effective immediately.

Ruebbert most recently served as managing director and chief operating officer of Deutsche Bank China, and he has held senior management roles across functions and geographies having also worked in Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore and Turkey and China.

Ruebbert will report to Gunit Chadha and Alan Cloete, co-CEOs in Asia Pacific and members of Deutsche Bank’s group
executive committee. As head of GTB in Vietnam, he reports to Lisa Robins, head of GTB in Asia Pacific.

“Our Transaction Banking business has been growing across the region at double-digit rates and Vietnam has been an important contributor to that development,” says Robbins. “Jens’s focus will be to bring his extensive experience and that of our team in Vietnam to serve the needs of both global and local clients and to expand Deutsche Bank’s presence in the market.”

Deutsche Bank today has also hired Chris Yoshida as managing director and global head of rates sales, and he will start in September. He will be based in New York and report to John Pipilis, global head of institutional client group, debt, based in London.

Most recently, Yoshida served as head of interest rate distribution in EMEA for Morgan Stanley, where he spent eleven years. At Morgan Stanley, he previously served as European head of global macro distribution, where he was responsible for hedge fund coverage for interest rates, currency and emerging markets. Before Morgan Stanley, he worked at Goldman Sachs for three years, with roles in investment banking and structured credit sales.
