Strone Macpherson, Executive Deputy Chairman of Misys plc, has announced his intention to step down from the Group.

Strone, who is 54, will step down from the Board following the Annual General Meeting on 1 October, 2002 but is to be available to Misys on a consultancy basis until the end of November 2004.

Strone will remain as Chairman of the Misys Charitable Foundation, which provides financial support to students and educational establishments.

Commenting on Strone’s decision, Kevin Lomax, Chairman Misys plc, said: “Strone has played a pivotal role in the Group’s successful corporate development over the last 13 years and I am delighted that his sage advice will still be available to Misys. The Board wishes Strone every success in his future activities.”
