David Clarkson Joins J.P. Morgan Prime Brokerage From Credit Suisse

David Clarkson has joined J.P. Morgan to lead its prime brokerage operation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

David Clarkson has joined J.P. Morgan to lead its prime brokerage operation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in London, he joins the firm from Credit Suisse where he was most recently chief of staff in Prime Services. He will report to Teresa Heitsenrether, global head of Prime Brokerage, and starts late November.

While at Credit Suisse, Clarkson was instrumental in building its Prime Services operation, leading its acquisition of Prime Fund Services from ABN Amro, and holding positions including global head of Prime Security Services, and head of European and Asian Prime Services. He previously worked at Deutsche Bank as European head of Equity Swaps.

J.P. Morgan launched its European Prime Brokerage offering in June 2011. Prime brokerage is a key part of J.P. Morgans Investor Services offering from its Corporate & Investment Bank, which also includes financing, collateral management and custodial services worldwide.
