DataDirect Technologies has released a new version of its Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver for Oracle and SQL databases.
The new version includes support for integrated user authentication and single sign-on initiatives and also offers Performance Wizards for customised configuration, enabling software developers to build high-performance applications while speeding development, integration and deployment.
“Drivers tend to be forgotten, once installed,” says Terence Cooke, vice president of DataDirect’s international operations, headquartered in Slough, UK. “We are urging the finance sector to check that their JDBC drivers are up-to-date and offer single sign-on and user authentication which are important for supporting best practice compliance initiatives, achieving stronger security, lowering management costs and improving logging and auditability.”
