Yawar Shah, global head of operations at JP Morgan Worldwide Securities, has created a new Global Fund Services Operations franchise combining North American Fund Accounting, North American Pension Accounting, European Fund Accounting and Pension Accounting, as well as Transfer Agency.
To head this new unit, JP Morgan has hired Daniel Kramer as Global Head of Fund Services Operations. Kramer is based in Boston and reports directly to Shah. “Dan Kramer knows the marketplace well and understands the needs of our global client base,” says Shah. “He will help us to continue to build out the industrial strength of our fund services operations platform.”
Kramer has more than 20 years of financial experience having held senior positions at several companies. He last served as a Global Managing Director of Institutional Equities at Thomson Financial, where he led the strategic expansion of the Equities Sales and Trading Segment. His previous positions include Chief Operating Officer at Deutsche Asset Management and Global Head of Stock Loan at Deutsche Bank, Global Head of Repo at Merrill Lynch, and Head of the European Repo Desk at Morgan Stanley. He started his career as an investment analyst for Mutual of New York.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics/Economics, Brown University, Providence Rhode Island and has NASD Series 7 and Series 24 licenses.
