Daiwa SB Investments (DSBI), which has more than JPY4.97 trillion in assets under management, has implemented the Investment Management Solution Version 9 of Charles River.
DSBI uses the Charles River IMS for portfolio management, trading and pre-trade compliance monitoring across its international and domestic investment management operations.
"With Charles River IMS Version 9, our portfolio managers, traders and compliance officers can now manage day-to-day investment management activities more efficiently," says Fumiki Fukawa, head of IT Planning at DSBI. "We have also been able to decommission many legacy in-house EUC modules, resulting in a simplified architecture and fewer systems to support."
Version 9 is the latest version of Charles River's investment management solution. Cameron Field, managing director for APAC at Charles River, says the firm has transitioned the solution to a service-oriented architecture that standardizes existing workflows for Japanese firms.
"Our scalable solution and on-the-ground experts give DSBI a competitive advantage in Japan by providing support for asset class expansion and new investment strategies," Field says.
