The board of Computer Sciences Corporation has elected Thomas R. Irvin to the new position of vice president and treasurer. Irvin, who previously served as assistant treasurer, will continue to report to CSC Chief Financial Officer Leon J. Level.

Irvin, 55, joined the company in 1987. In his new role, he will be responsible for all activities of CSC’s global treasury, including banking, risk management, capital markets, and pension and savings plan investments.

“Throughout Tom’s tenure, CSC has grown and expanded in both the domestic and international markets,” said Level. “His previous experience as assistant treasurer and his strong relationships with the financial community make him well suited for his new position. He has the broad experience and skills to lead the treasury organization through CSC’s continued growth and success.”

Prior to joining CSC, Irvin served as vice president and chief financial officer of Ni-Cal Development Corporation. Previously, he held financial and engineering positions at Raytheon and Dravo Corporation. Irvin holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University, a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
