Credit Suisse has appointed Yong-Moon Kimas as managing director and head of global equities.
The new hire is the Swiss bank’s 11th in recent months, and is the latest appointment in a recruitment drive intended to “grow and enhance Credit Suisse’s asset management equities business around the world”.
Mr Kimas new role will see him oversee four portfolio managers and two assistant portfolio managers, as part of a Zurich-based team managing assets of $3.1 billion.
Prior to taking on his new position, Mr Kimas, who will now be reporting to Kim Goodwin, had worked in investment management for 17 years. Most recently he was managing director and chief investment officer with Mirae Asset Global Investment Management in Hong Kong.
“I am thrilled that Yong-Moon is joining us and I believe he will provide great leadership and investment insight for our global equities team,” says Mr Goodwin.
