Steve Webster has joined State Street Global Markets as head of business development and relationship management for its portfolio solutions business in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Webster joins from Credit Suisse Securities where he was head of transition management in EMEA.
In his new role, Webster will be responsible for managing the portfolio solutions’ business development, supporting new business, relationship management and client service. He will also manage a team of investment professionals covering transition management and exposure solutions, State Street’s interim management services. He will report to John Minderides, head of EMEA portfolio solutions and Peter Weiner, global head of portfolio solutions business development.
Commenting on the new appointment, Minderides said, “Steve has a proven track record in the management, development and marketing of portfolio solutions within banking and custody organizations. We are delighted that he is joining our dedicated team and look forward to continuing our history of leadership and innovation within our portfolio solutions business.”
In May Credit Suisse said it was shutting down its transition management business in America, but the EMEA business would remain unaffected.
