Credit Suisse Group Appoints Karl Landert As Chief Information Officer

Karl Landert has been appointed chief information officer (CIO)of Credit Suisse.

Landert will report directly to Brady W. Dougan, CEO of Credit Suisse and will continue to be based in Zurich. In his new role, Landert will focus on continuing to enhance the bank’s integrated IT platform whilst working closely with the businesses.

Landert was most recently head of IT Private Banking and a member of the Private Banking Management Committee. He brings years of experience delivering innovative, state-of-the-art technology to the private bank and its clients. Before joining the bank in 2001, he held various senior IT management positions at Novartis Pharma AG and before that, he worked at IBM. Landert holds a master’s degree in physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Landert is assuming the IT responsibilities from Tom Sanzone, who has decided to pursue an opportunity outside the Bank.
