Credit Suisse Europe PB head to depart following relocation

Credit Suisse’ European head of prime services Dougal Brech will leave the bank after leading the business for eight years.

A Credit Suisse spokesperson confirmed the news that Brech, who joined Credit Suisse in London following a 13-year spell at Morgan Stanley, will depart the firm in February.

His departure comes days after Credit Suisse, the largest prime broker in Europe, relocated the business to Dublin

As Global Custodian reported earlier this week, more than 100 positions in the Irish capital will comprise of existing staff and new appointments

The Dublin operation will handle the trading, capital and risk management for the business while the salespeople and relationship managers will remain in London due to client proximity, according to the Swiss bank.
