CounterpartyLink has signed a three-year agreement to provide legal entity data to Nomura International plc.
Nomura International use the CounterpartyLink data product to validate and enhance the firm’s entity reference database. Nomura’s entity data files are compared to the corresponding entity records held by CounterpartyLink, and any exceptions are investigated by auditing back to the original source. The validated record is maintained through a daily feed from CounterpartyLink.
CounterpartyLink provides up to 88 fields of validated data for each entity, covering name and address details, corporate hierarchy, registration and regulator details and a variety of other standard identifiers, including the SWIFT BIC code. Uniquely, each field is linked back to the original public filing or web page, providing a complete audit trail back to source.
“Maintaining accurate client and counterparty data across jurisdictions is an important challenge, and it is essential to our data strategy,” says Matt Fowkes, the Head of the Client Data Programme at Nomura International.
“We are very pleased to be working with Nomura International, whose management is taking an ongoing proactive approach in maintaining legal entity data for compliance and business performance,” adds Christoph Lammersdorf, the MD of CounterpartyLink. “As regulatory requirements around client data have become more complex in recent years and continue to expand, we look forward to continuing to support Nomura in its strategy.”
