Administrators of continuing medical education from Johns Hopkins, University of Alabama School of Medicine and the Alliance for CME will meet with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and the Bayer Institute for Healthcare Communication in an industry-academic panel discussion as part of a wider Philadelphia conference July 18 and 19.
The panel is designed to outline strategies for the successful and compliant development of collaborations between CME providers and the pharmaceutical industry, Strategic Research Institute said in a news statement.
The Institute for Advanced Medical Education will moderate the panel that will be held as part of the July conference, “Pharma Compliance: OIG Program Implementation and Development.”
Compliance program development is the focus of the two-day meeting, as compliance officers, executives, and counsel from the pharmaceutical industry offer challenges and solutions that companies must put into practice in light of the Office of the Inspector General’s Program Guidance.
Pfizer, Bayer Healthcare, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Wyeth, and ImClone Systems are among the presenting faculty, along with Thomson Medical Education, UMDNJ, Procter & Gamble, and Johnson & Johnson Worldwide in the CME panel discussions.
