Capital Markets Intelligence, a new search consultancy, has opened an office in Hong Kong to help investment banks in Asia find derivatives talent.
Dania Falle, the new firm’s managing director and John Primrose, head of research, are former consultants of Pelham Search Pacific – a headhunter in Asian derivative and structured products. A senior banker will join during the second quarter, while another senior banker will try to establish a presence for the company in Tokyo.
Capital Markets Intelligence is the first of its kind in Asia. All three of the consultants have backgrounds in derivatives. The hunt for derivatives talent has never been greater, says Falle. Those targeting consumer banks and private banks have already grown their staffs, though competition is high for salespeople focused corporately and on pension funds and insurers.
